What skills do you need in order to be on the Varsity Dance Team?

I want to enroll in Dance 1. Do I need to try out?
No
Can I be a part of dance team and be on the cheer team?
Varsity dance and varsity cheer do not have compatible schedules. Students who are a part of either varsity dance or varsity cheer teams will be unable to be a part of the other team program (ie: Varsity dancers will not be able to be a part of the cheer program).
I’m a parent/guardian looking to be involved. How can I do that?

Do I need to make up my own dance for auditions?
No, you will be given a dance(s) to memorize and asked to demonstrate specific dance technique.
Do you get P.E./Fine Art credit for Dance?
As a freshman and sophomore you receive P.E. credit. After that, credit applies to Fine Arts or Electives.
